i hope its not a virus i run my scanners and they say nothing, but the problem is wheneever im on for a period of time say 5 or 10 minutes ill get an error message and it closes out my internet page i was running any help thanks

Try updating IE, see what happens.

the error message is sorry ie has encountered a a error and needs to close, how would i go about updating my internet, and how would i go about gettin firefox

Update IE by going to Microsofts update page, you will probably have to update a bunch of things to get the current version of IE.
