i need a better rear shock but dont have enough money to go out and buy an elka shock and link. so i was wondering what was the best place to send my rear shock to? i know there is a bunch of places, but elka does not rebuilt 450r shocks for some reason. SO LET ME KNOW WHAT THE BEST PLACE TO GET MY REAR SHOCK RE-SPRINGED AND VALVED AND THAT WHOLE DEAL AT. THANKSS!!

GT Thunders Shock keeps it a single rate. is that good? i might go with the GT Thunder Package because its 345 for the whole new shock rebuild and spring and it comes with a link so im thinking thats my best bet. how about no lean? is theres any good? thanks

Send it to Johnny Hale, JH Racing! He's done a ton of these and everyone has been extremely satisfied with them. 918-371-0101

He knows shocks like no one else! He learned from the best, Wayne of PEP!

yeah send it to JH racing. he strives pretty hard to do well with the suspention set ups. hes also a proam/pro rider so hes on the track testing the stufff........ about the elka i thnk it performs pretty close the only thing is that you would have to revalve twice a year if you are a serious racer

all the aftermarket builders shocks will feel much better than an aftermarket shock. the valving specs are narrowed down from 15 lbs rider weight ranges, down to 5 or less. much more precise

also, there is nothing wrong with a single rate set up. somewhere along the lines, peope got to thinking more springs is always bettr, but the truth is alot of the time more springs is too progressive. check doug gust shock when he was with elka. they were tripple rate, even tho elka makes a quad rate shock, same with natalie
