clutch ?

iv got all new frictin plates should i get the clutch palates as well

That's a question I have always had. I know there is a specification on thickness, but do not know specific of the 400EX. I don't see a great reason to spend the extra money as the fiber is what wears... well for the most part, the steel plates, hub, and basket just wear slower...

No problem, I just wish I could have helped more. Maybe someone else can shed some better light on this. How bad was the clutch? Did it not fully engage, not fully disengage, slip? How does the basket look where the fiber plates hit? ;)

i measured the clutch plates up and they need replacing.
