I thought I would give some of you guys a litte quiz to see who really knows their stuff. I already know exactly what is wrong and already have it half fixed, but we'll see if anyone can guess it. OK, I'm riding in the snow, and I go to gun it and it only revs out so far. It isnt like the choke is on, it's like I have a throttle stop no it. If anyone needs a better description or symptoms, ask for them. Let's see who really knows what they are talking about.:D

it could be the throtle cable not all the way in cuz i didnt adjust mine right and it wouldnt rev up much or it could be jetting but that would make it bog also is any of these right?

Well, my throttle went in the whole way, but it was like someone put it so it wouldn't rev the whole way out. But it sounded healthy, not like the choke was on. Throttle cable is properly adjusted.

Sounds like the air boot that connects from your air box to the carb may have come off, or from the carb to the motor, vice versa. That happened to me when I went out to the dunes, I was so bummed because I didn't have any extra jets, to make a long story short, I drove 4 hours each way to get there and back and rode for 2 hours...

the main jet is too big maybe or posibley the the throttle nut has to much freeplay in it.

nicktrx400ex- rev box is fine, not the valves. Mods are 12:1 wiseco piston, K&N filter, FMF megamax pipe. Those are all the motor mods. Its also jetted.

Chin Chilla- Its not that.

Honda#4 - Nope, but you are closer than the rest.

Tell me when you want a hint or if you need any more descriptions/symptoms.

Xater - nope

AtvMxRider - you are so close its not funny.

I'll give you all a hint if you didn't already know, it has to do with the carb.

I'm sure it's in the cable. Mine does the samr thing but I can push thru it with enough pressure. But if I'm wrong let me know so I don't waste the $$.

This happens when... uh... dumb people change needles and don't tighten the two screws all of the way!
