What is the rpm red line on a stock 300 ex?
I need a motor that will rev to 6500 Rpm.
Can it be done with the 300 ex motor?
How can the mods be done?
Will the motor last at that rpm?
I am building a street application and need more RPM

Give me a call is you have knowledge of the 300 ex motors.

yes a 300ex can easily do 6500rpm with an unlimited rev box you can go as high as 9000rpm

I still need to know what the stock limited rpm is?

I wonder how much the power curve falls off at 7500 rpm. ??

My goal is to use the motor in an environment that will require sustained runs at 7500 rpms. Will the 300 ex motor be able to handle that or will it float the valves and melt down???

Thanks for the input before I waste my money.

no at 7500 rpm you will not melt do the valves or floar them you might want to buy an aftermarket rev box to get 1000rpm over stock wich i dont know what is stock but tom carlson i building my engine and he wants me to run up to like 9000rpm then shift

I'm pretty sure the 300ex stock rev limit is 6850 rpm. You can rev the motor up to 9000rpm without much worry though.
