300EX Clutch Cable

hi, Iran a 300EX clutch cable so I dont burn them on the header but I just cant seem to get it to tight like have tension on it seem too long or somthing. can you guys please help me ??

run it down the side of the tube that the oil tank bolts on to, then to the somone has a picture of it here, i'll look for it for you

U will have to adjust it where it mounts to the clutch cover as well as the perch. All the slack should be able to be adjusted out. I've never heard of any problems putting one on.

the only way I can take all the slack out his like that !:( the cable is a motion pro for 94 and up 250EX/300EX

I hate to say u must have the wrong cable. The 87+ 250x cable is the cable that works, not a 250ex. I would have thought the 250x and 300ex would be the same cable...guess not:confused:

Only advise I can give u is sell the cable u bought and try it again:(

If money isn't an object, the OEM honda cable is better quality than a motion pro.

so I would need a 87 to wath year?? 250X cable then ?

I'm fairly positive the 250x went from 87-92. A honda cable is where it's at:macho alot beefier than motion pro (even though that's what I'm running right now)

87-2006 250X/300EX cables are all the same. The 250EX is completely different. And yes the 250X was made from 87-92, then in 93 was stroked to a 300EX with E-start, and red plastics..;)
