I was cleaning out some old mags I had and came along one of my oldest quad magazine. I got into quads back in 03'. So the oldest mag I have is a November 2003. What are some of your oldest quad magazines?
I know some of you oldsters have some from the 80's!

I like looking back every once in a' while and seeing what was coming out years back then seeing how things progressed through the years. It's fun. :D

My oldest quad mag would be the one where Dirt Wheels featured the VOR quad.

So the oldest so far is from November 2002..I know alot of you can beat that! If you search them please don't lie and say its yours. Be like Adam and tell the truth! lol

I take it 1982 was the first issues Dirt Wheels started there magazine?

I have the issue were DW features the 400ex for the first time. I will try to find it. I think the front page is missing.

I know for sure i have that and quite a bit older, but I don't have em with me I think mine go back around 95

last pic, this is some of my collection over the years, others are scattered around the house. the really thin ones are all older from 1993 to around 1997. the horse stuff is not mine.

I've got all MXA, Dirt Bike, and Dirt Rider (bike mags) from sept 98' and a few separates for 97'. And I've got every dirt wheels since 01' and a few other random publications like Quad, and ATV Action. It's really fun reading the older ones and seeing who's predictions are right and wrong. In my old MXA I was reading the other day they did a write up about making an XR400 intoa MX machine and that four strokes might actually run with two strokes some day.:eek:

ask again in ten years, i have literally hundreds of magazines around the house, and i never throw any away, my girlfriend hates it, but when i go to buy somethin used, all the old mags come out and i read up on it all i can, it has helped me buy alot of bikes, and stay away from alot of bikes i probably would have otherwise bought

Dirt Wheels starting at Oct of 1983 to date. 4 wheel ATV Action or 3 and 4 Wheel Action as it was call back in Jan. 1985. A few ATV Sport from June of 01', 3 Wheeling from Nov. 1983 and formerly 3 Wheeling the first ATV Sports from March of 1988 when they changed from 3Wheeling. I also have most ATV Magazine, ATV Rider and Quad. I'm feeling real old looking back at these because I have been in alot of them from the git go.:ermm:

I still have my first dirt wheels i ever got. Its from back in 2002. Not sure what month mag it is but theirs a 440ex and z440 that compete against each other. I never yet threw out any quad mags. Only mags i through out are old parts catalogs.

3&4 Wheel Action

1986, 1987, 1988, 1989(250r vs. lt250 shootout!) 1990, 1991.

Then I got some of MY old dirtbike ones from like 1995.

If I remember I'll take some pictures.

When I was little all I did was read the quad mags that my dad had that prolly got me influenced on 250r's!

i just threw out my dirtwheels mags. one of them being my first, it was the 02 or 03 with the DVX400 first test on the cover

Is that the one where Thumper Racing did up the 440ex and Z? For some odd reason I remember that one :confused:

I have some dirtwheels and 3&4 action from 83 and 84. I have a bunch from 85 and 86, some from 87, 88 and 90, and most the dirtwheels, atv action, and dirtwheel from about 2001

I think my oldest Dirtwheels is from 1986. and from 1988/89 to current I have almost all of the them. They are sitting in a box collecting dust, but it is neat to look back and see how the world of ATV's have really changed.

the oldest one i can think of off the top of my head is the dirt wheels with the FX 400 vs raptor vs banshee vs 400ex vs DS 650....the FX400 was pretty impressive

If your talking about the trike shootout, it's been a while since i read it, but it said something about the fourstrokes being better in tighter tracks and 2 stroke being better in the more wideopen tracks doe to tire spin coming out of corners I think.

juanki, that magaizine you have is when dirtwheels put a big wheel kit for a 85/86 atc250r on a 86 trx250r. I think they said thought it was cool, but said it didn't work very well and the 2 back wheels was a much better choice.

Its just the cover, it got ripped off, but the mag is in my pile.

I read all these old mags sooooooooooooo many times, for like 19 years.
