wanting to do grab bar mod, help me.

i was wanting to do the grab bar mod on my 05 400ex, im a good fabricator but could someone help me to get started.

where do i need to cut the subframe, and where and what is best to weld to the subframe.

i didn't cut the stock grab bar/subframe off i left it there and welded plate partly to the tailight mounts and drilled some hole in it has held up well

what grab bar did you use to mount on the tabs you made? 250r?

I will get you a pic tomarrow,I put a 250x rear grab bar on it,i filled in the 1 large hole too the size of the others.I cut the frame and notched it for the threaded peices,you could use all-thread couplers.I will get pics and measurements tomarrow

If you do a search, I think you might find something on my Mod I done on mine, I posted pics of its before I had my frame PC'd.

prm atv makes a grab bar for the 400ex it uses U bolts to hold it on
