ZX-12R is real good all around for performance. You won't need anything bigger than a CBR600 though.

CBR600RR should have anywhere from 105 to 113.

Edit: Most respond pretty good to bolt ons. I really don't know about it when you get into breaking the motor. To be honest all of the new sport bikes motor would be killer in a quad. With that much you need to step up the power in small incriments.

You can gear a stock blaster to go 150, if that tells you anything.

Maybe you should stick with something smaller. No offense, but with the stuff in your posts I'm not quite sure you need something like that in a quad. I'll tell you what. Go out and drive a crazy modified Raptor or 250R, then add another 40HP to it. Then you'll be somewhat in the area of a 600 I4 motor.

Well i was on the bus ta day and we went into my friends neighborhood well i look in his garage and he's got a freakin cbr600r in his garage an i was like what the hell. He dosen't ride atv or dbikes but i was like man i gotta come over to your house to ride that. Sucks my parents wont let me get one. They are really anal about motos on the road. My moms brother in law was killed on one so she wont let me get one. As long as i am under mommys roof i obey mommys rules:grr: . O well i'll stick with mudding:D. Yea a 600cc will do it personally go with the ducati that is air cooled that would be sexy man and would give it a really cool amost stock look. Can anyone say sleeper

Make sure you know what you're getting in to. A 100HP streetbike motor in a quad is either a novelty, or a drag-racer. It can't really be ridden recreationally anymore.

The motor is too heavy, the frame won't last long when you start hitting whoops and jumps. Not only that, but 100HP is insane for recreational riding, you'll never get any traction because you'll be spinning your wheels all the time. Honestly, getting whiplash coming out of EVERY corner is going to get old real quick, your elbows are going to be sore, your neck is going to be sore.

Don't get me wrong, it would be fun the first 100 times. But the reason motorcycles have 100+ horsepower is to accelerate quickly from 60 to 100mph. Trust me, even on a wide-open dirt road, you don't want to be going 100mph, so you don't need that kind of horsepower.

Just be sure you know what you're getting in to.

yea i wasnt planning on riding off road much with it im was planning on making it street legal and then doing pretty much like a street bike just to me it seems a liltle safer with 4 wheels thats my oppinion but others think that it wont be im also going to make it a liltle longer and wider so itl be more controlable basically a whole new frame is going to be made im going to get a welding machne soon so i can start practicing welding then once i get that good im going to start thinking how i want everything then comes money for the motor tho? i know its going to be fast but thats wat i want 70-80 mph just isnt getting it anymore im only 16 but then again i have had my share of acidents and stuff so its not like i dont know the rist when i was 9 i was in the hospital for 1 wk from my go cart and that really told me wat can happn but i still like speed i just know when to stop tho i know my limits but keep the post coming im really wanting to hear everything i can but if anyone knows how much a new motor cbr 600r is let me know so i can start saving ,lol

You can't ride atvs on the road in most places and i know NC won't let you. Most places they have to be 3 wheeled.

I promise you going 70mph+ on a quad is not nearly as stable as 70MPH+ on a two wheeled machine designed/engineered for those speeds and then some. I've had my 600RR at speeds well into triple digit land many many times and I wouldn't dare take a quad on a paved road or a dirt road past 70 - 80MPH. I hate to offer my .02 when it's not requested but this seems like a very bad idea. 100HP on anything that weighs less than 500lbs requires the driver to have responsibility and self control.

I have to agree with Wilken250r on this one - long story short make sure you know what you are getting yourself into.

ive asked the dmv they said all i need is like 10 things and a 17digit id number or plate and they also listed the ten things i have 5 of em that are stock on the bike and im going to make it wider and longer so itl be able to hanfdle more speed and be more comtroleable . o i have had my 400ex at close to 80 bunches of times on dirt roads so i think paved would be safer and everyone is welcome to post a comment in here no one is left out or anything i like to hear everyones oppinions but keep em comeing i want to hear everyones oppinions
