Need Help With Race Setup

How are racing classes divided up? I have an 01 300ex but i don't exactly wanna be competing with raptors etc. I plan on racing when i turn 16-18. I don't no if it is worth it to mod my 300ex for racing. I need new suspension now but i rather have it on like racing a arms rather than stock.So, Before i put a lot of money into it, I need to know if it is worth it.

I would not mod it for racing, c class is mostly dominated by stock raptors, 400ex's and what not and then you got the mildly build 400ex's to some pretty nice quads in b class until you go to a class which is like 250r's and fully decked out quads. at least that is how it is down here, I wouldn't waste my money on the 300ex to sell it and take a loss years down the rode and still have a stock 400ex by then.

I tricked out my 250X to race Quad D.Its worth it now that I have everything done to it but I wouldn't do it again.Plus it all depends on how serious you want to get into racing. I wouldn't recommend it if your only going to race a few times a year.I race District 5 and the Quad classes aren't based on skill. There based on how big you engine is.Quad B=2 strokes, Quad C=351-open 4 stoke,Quad D=91cc-350cc.
