..yeah! i like me baby! iīm touching myself! yeah!

sorry :huh i smoked a little..

iīm herre to tell you about the new Gas Gas HP 450

this is the new HP 450:

http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/2848/hp45007xq4.jpg

449 cc.
1 cylinder, 4 stroke, DOHC with 4 valves
Liquid cooled
BorexStroke 97 x 60,8 mm.
EFI
6 gears w/o reverse
Electric Start

this is the evolution of the previous HP 450, with a new body (similar to the YFZ) only on black

itīs very similar to the quad used by Warnia (2005-2006 Spanish QuadCross champion) to comprobate the fidelity

it will be 3 versions:

1- the model on the picture, with Sachs shocks and 6gears

2- a racing model, with PEPs shock on the front, and a Elka on the rear, with 6 gears too

3- a "popular" model with 5 gears and reverse, for the "no competition" using

thank very much for the interesting, only add that this quad was this yera champion on the Spanish championship

I heard that they were going to be changing up their look. I like it! They don't have that goofy pipe anymore either. It looks like it has a high center of gravity though. Does Gas Gas have a website?

we had a 03 wild 300 the bike ripped except of the excessive caster which made it steer slow:D

..this is the old 450:

Gas Gas HP wild 450 2005 (http://www.gasgasmotos.es/esp/frame.htm)

the price itīs awesome!

there in Spain the cheaper racing quad (450) itīs the LTR that costs 7400€, and the new Gas Gas will cost about 6700€ (the basic model)

the previous Gas Gas moldels were very cheaper than the other atvs on the market

Gas Gas has very good prices for his quads

I am going to be a gas gas dealer and the gas gas rep didnt know if gas gas was going to make quads in 07 or not? he said that gas gas has not told them about if they are going to have a quad for 07.:(

..yes, in fact the 2005 and 2006 Spanish cross Champions (Ullatres brothers) are going to be with GasGas for the 2007 Season, actually they were riding with Honda

Yuck! I think it looks goofy as hell.

don_carallo
12-09-2006, 12:16 PM
..the bad thing of this quad is his weight, about 180kg (the '06 450r weight is 165kg)

but on the magazines they say that itīs very handble

jacobw
12-09-2006, 01:57 PM
that only about 400 pounds in full race weight the honda and yamaha will be that buy the time you add arms, skid plate, aftermarket shocks, etc etc that the gas gas has and also the gas gas can loose some wieght taking all the computer and etc that you dont need for racing:D

Does anyone know when the 07 & if they will make it to the states?

markvette

is it built on the same frame as the old 300 2 stroke. that quad was fast but sucked for motocross racing. steering beat you to death and frame bottomed out on the smallest jumps. a couple years ago my son raced one for a local dealer twice. at that time he had a built 400ex. he said his 400ex was way better than the gas gas. he said that the quad fely very uncomfortable just sitting on it., pegs felt like they were in the wrong place. i would love to see a new 4 stroke racer but hopefully it has a new frame, better steering, and get rid of the twist throttle, most americans use thumb throttles. oh another thing 52" is too wide for us to race at nationals.

Is that 52" wide with 3+2 wheels?

markvette

dont know. also dont know if this new 450 is 52" wide but the old 300 was.

I am waiting to hear from the rep when they will have one for me to look at

TWILES

From the left side view they look strikingly similar to the Z-400 and the pipe looks just like the offroad Akrapovic. I think its a really nice looking bike. Since KTM is supposedly building KTM Sponsored MX and XC atvs for late this year, maybe Gas Gas will get into it too.

I never heard anyone else complain about the ergonomics of the GasGAS? Not that you expect everyone to like a certain machine? I didn't think it was far off a 400ex? Everyone I know including me like them? Of course until it warms up I haven't rode it a ton, but it seems to jump nice. I just had issues with getting proper sag with stock springs. As far as the frame bottoming out thats the suspension not setup correct. Not the machines fault. Not sure if they changed shocks, but stock my shocks look to bottom before the frame gets close to hitting the ground. Unless casing it on jumps then thats the rider also. Yeah they might not come setup best for MX, or could use some rework for whatever you plan to use it for. They at least give you some quality shocks to work with. Mine have Ohlins H/low speed with rebound adjust. 52" is with 3+2 rims so 4+1 rims gets you 50" that not much different than other quads if you spend $$$ to get +3 arms? And far as I know 48" width have been availible for quit awhile.

TWILES

I think both the Gas Gas's are great idea's and would be good for Gas Gas IF they will push them in America. As long as they are HARDER to get to than a KTM, they won't go anywhere. NO ONE in Western Ky sells KTM's and they will sell. Gas Gas is not well known at all here.

rrguy
02-17-2007, 07:49 AM
Yeah it seems alot of people have not heard of them or seen one.

From talking to a local dealer the 07 450 bike has a new motor thats even more impressive & a new frame. Sounds like they did the same for the quad.

don_carallo
03-06-2007, 07:37 AM
..hello again

it seems that the Racing version wonīt be avaliable with PEPs shocks

i have heard that it was an invention of this magazine reporters..:huh unveliable..

like a have said to you, 2004 & 2005 Spanish Champions (Ullastres Brothers) will change from Honda 450 to this new Gas Gas 450 for 2007 season (which will start next month..), and if they change from 450r to Gas Gas is because they saw that it can be a MX winner quad, i supposse

this new 450 is not similar from the previous Gas Gas sport quads, itīs a new quad, from the frame to the motor, all new, and itīs not 52" like the 300 2stroke

i will tell you how it runs in the Spanish MX Championship ;)

rrguy

Yeah keep us updated. I hope to ride one here. Maybe get one :D

don_carallo
03-06-2007, 11:39 AM
..and about the reason because Gas Gas is not selling in USA..:(

i donīt know, but this season theyīre going to race in the Spain, France and England MX Championship, perhaps thay want to go doing famous his 450 and then jump to USA, itīs possible
