You should be happy with it. I sold my '06ER and bought an '07 kicker and love it. It starts pretty good.

i know i didnt have a choice on my 04' but i absolutely LOVE my kicker. 3 or 4 times this morning at 22 degrees and i was ready to roll. wouldnt trade the kick start for anything.

Parts are about 500 hundred. And I am definately excited about having it. Now I can think more about riding instead of thinking about not stalling:rolleyes:

looks great..but my real question is how is your motor so damn clean? I ride mud and stuff and im sure you dont but....i hate how my engine is becomming more and more stained. any way to get it off?

I ride mx, sand, dunes so yes my motor does get dirty. I wash the quad with armor all soap and I know i go overboard but if I cant get stains or something off I get a toothbrush and scrub it. Other than that I dont do much

Nice! Man, I wish I could have gotten the kicker from the start, I doubt I will ever do the conversion.

And I do the same with my engines....armor all and WD 40 seem to do the trick. Can't stand to have a clean bike.

I'm REALLY thinking about adding kickers to my ERs. How did you make sure you had every little part you needed, any way you could post a parts list?

nice bike, .... id like to get estart for my '04 but i guess ill do with the kicker till the honda people decide to quit being lazy and make an estart kit.

nice job on the cleaning to a clean R is a happy R:D .

as far as i know there is only 1 company that makes an electric start kit for the 04' 05' 450R and that is Goki. it depends on how much you want one and how deep your wallet is.

$599 + shipping is way too pricy for me i think ill just stick to kicking. but i guess its worth it for some people. just thought id let you know if you werent aware of it already.

Yes I installed it myself. It wasnt as difficult as it seems. All you need is the right tools, some knowledge of what your doing and a manual.

Sent one to Cody.

You will need a gasket for the right crankcase cover! It is not included in the list.

I'm talking about the cover.. The one that is on my quad doesn't have the hole for the kicker..

You just have to take the black plug out.

So tonight I was going to adjust the idle on the bike and I went to start it up and the battery was dead. It didnt have any power to turn over the motor. The bike was completely cold and it started with two kicks!!! I am definately glad I added this thing.

I'm really interested in this. I didn't know this was possible, but it's a darn good idea.
We are having issues with our ES, not starting when hot. Loosing races, due to this issue.
