The clutch on my Scrambler is rubbing on the cover. Last time I took the cover off, I noticed the rubbing on the plastic cover. Is this common? How do I stop this issue?

ive seen this happen on a few different polarises, but i'm not real sure how to fix it. if you have a helpful dealer, chances are you can call and they can help you out.

red4ever, your a dumbass. you had nothing constructive to add to the thread, so why did you post?

This is a common problem as a polaris gets older. You probably need to look at the rubber bushings and sleeves that mount the back clutch cover to the motor and tranny as they wear out from vibration and allow the clutch cover to move and come into contact with the clutch. To replace them you will have to remove the primary and secondary clutch

Do I need a special tool to remove the clutches?

Yes. You can pick up a puller from the dealer or a polaris aftermarket dealer like HotSeat, HPD etc...

Yes, a puller only for the front part of the clutch not the rear, just the puller and bump it with the impact, the rear just a 9/16' socket gets it done, unless its old and crusty, it will come off pretty easy. I'll agree with guy above (sorry didnt read the name) about the bushings and stuff, tighten in a cross pattern. We do a lot of Polaris work at our shop.
