I'm looking to get my 9 yr old son an ATV. What size and brand could you inform me about? Anything you could endorse? Maybe more importantly, anything you would steer me away from?

The suzuki lt80 or it's twin the kfx80 are proven bullit proof machines, cost a little more but worth it in my opinion.

pappy it sounds as though the kid just wants to go out in the backyards and woods and have a good time. i know he is young but i'd get him on a 250ex right away, if you wait he will think it is too slow, so in my opinion i'd go with a 250ex

well i started my 10 year out with a blaster ...now hes 11 and ridding my Raptor...lol What im saying is if you start out to small he will get bored fast but i wouldnt get nothing to big either...you gota look at diff sides you know your son and his abilty..but my oppion dont get somthign to small like a 80 or 90..he will grow out of it so fast ...ive seen it happen alot..mabey find some1 that has diff size quads see what he can do and how he handels it.

DPC I would recommend a honda TRX90. I would disagree with people that say they will out grow it too fast. There is a ton of aftermarket. Not too mention too big is unsafe. My 9 year old rides a TRX90 and loves every minute he can ride. Just my 2 cents.
