what motor

well im thinkin about building me a new quad. i have found some1 with a frame and i was wonderin wat motors if any will bolt right in a stock 400ex frame without any or little modifications.. besides a 400ex motor lol.. so plz let me no.. thanks

Id go with a 450r motor it doesnt bolt right it but b4 the 450r quads came out that was a popular race mod. so i dont think that there is too much work into getting it in there

Don't put a 450R motor in it unless you get an amazing deal. Look for dirtbike motors such as crf450 or yz400. Also no other motors will bolt up into your frame, you'll have to do alot of fabrication. Or you can send it out to a company and have them do the fab.

yz400 426 and 450 motors mount up the best some mods are neede but its the easiest swap and there is a guy that makes the front engine mounts for it
