Well Im fed up with my edelbrock, Its the hardest thing to get adjusted right, and never seems to stay at the same jetting. At least it came on the bike and I didnt pay 500 dollars for this peace I'm going to get a 450R carb from service honda, I heard you can get them for around $165! Anyways is all I need the fuel line and throttle cable?, also, I was thinking of starting at a 180 main and a 48 pilot, what about the fuel screw and clip? My mods are 440 wiseco12.5:1 stage 2 hotcam, P&P.
Thanks
Mike

Also I'm at about 1000 feet.

Yup, all you need is fuel line and a throttle cable. The fuel line is huge!

In any case, I don't know what jetting would be for you, but if it helps I am running all stock with the exception of the main and it runs great. I had a 185 in it and it was way too rich, so I an gonna try out a 175 and see how it helps.

Also what about the hotstart thingy on the 450R carb?

You can just plug it, i put some high temp silicone in it, like a gasket maker type of silicone. I stuck a flat head tack down in there first so silicone wouldnt run down in there to far, kinda ghetto but worked.

Also, what about the electrics that i see on this carb. On my Edelbrock, there are no electrics, do these plug into something on the EX or do they just sorta not apply. I bought the bike with the edelbrock, thats why I dont know.

Thanks,
Mike

Nothing really applies to it of that sort...no hot start, "electronics," etc. Pretty much just the fuel line and like things found on all carbs.

so basically just rip them off and fill the holes like Imploded Mindz?

If you don't want to rip them off you can always just use some tie wrap and position it/them out of the way.

Id look on ebay for one if i were you. I got mine off there for like 60 or 70 dollars a few months ago. It came with the throtttle cable and was already set up for a 400 so all i got to do is throw it in there whenever i get ready..Just look on there a lil while and youll come across one.;)

Well I bout one off Ebay from ATV parts unlimeted, sounded pretty good and legit, not like a scam. Feedback rating was good, so I hope it turns out ok. I'll let you guys know how it turns out!
