Hello guys and gals,

I'm new here but I can tell I will be around alot more. I finally got another LT250 after 12 years. I have ridden all kinds of sport and Utility Quads/dirtbikes. But the smokers are where I want to be. Anyway I bought this 88 LT on ebay a few weeks ago and had it shipped to by door. I unloaded the bike and checked the fluids, put some fresh premix in and kicked it about 8 times and it came to life, then died when the float stuck and it drowned itself. So I've pulled the carb cleaned it and put it back on. I did get it to fire up after about 100 or so kicks and I rode it around the subdivision (whew almost forgot what monsters they are). Anyway now, you will kick your friggen leg off and it will not fire. Choke on, Choke off, new plug. I did pull the plug and its wet with fuel. Clean it off, install it, kick a million more times and nothing. So I thought compression. It makes 150 psi on my gauge. It also has pretty blue spark. Somebody help me before I buy a HONDA!! HEHEHE.

if your reeds were bad you would be losing compression. and 150 psi is pretty good.
