oh damn.. thats not good.. DO YOU WANT TO SELL ME THE MOTOR.. lol.. i always wanted to put a CR500 in my 400ex..

I think you're crazy for getting on that thing.. way to much power for me.. heck a 250 is to much for me.. lol

my uncle has a KX500 ive drove before. They wear you out quick

heres my kx just got done with a frame up restore all motor went through and pretty much everything replaced

good to see some 500s still out there, i remmeber my dad has a KX 500 years back and it hauled! fastest dirt bike i ever rode....Very nice KX and that CR sounds good too....i wish they would bring back the 500s

well actually honda has the cr500af(aluminum frame) out, they had brought it back for a while and mabey they still have em but im not sure. i would love to have a aluminum frame i think they look sick but now that the bikes totally ripped apart were gonna spruce it up some you know

how much does the af cost around 8-9 grand thats crazy IMO when you try to sell them most people are afraid of them so they dont bring crap on ebay unless you find the right buyer

well actualy honda does not have the cr500af out, that is just service honda that makes them, they bought up a bunch of cr500 engines and are puting them into newer cr aluminum frames.

what year did honda actually stop making cr500's

im pretty sure the kx's were made until around 2001-2003 maybe someone can comment on this

o well about that service honda deal theyre making kits for brand new 250rs to turn into quads too then. i saw them on the websites. but anywayse my 500 is a 92 and were not really gonna get it done till next year i guess

if they made a real 250r, (not 400ex frame) that was decently priced, i think everyone and their brothers would pick them up!

i think it is the 250r frame, just the 400ex plastics. I will check.

The last year for the CR500 was 2001. (I bought one just because I had to own one.:D) Service Honda still makes the CR500AF. (Would love to own one of those.) I think the last year for the KX500 was 2004. Not positive on that though.
