Pappy I forgot to mention, can you powdercoat the valve cover on a 400ex and if so how much is that along with the oil cover. Thanks a bunch

the 400ex doesnt have a valve cover.:confused:

Thats correct. People I trust that build engines for a living have repeatedly told me to avoid it where possible.

Would it be better to just polish it then. Cus I want to do a total makeover of my quad and I wanted to powdercoat parts of the motor. Would you coat the side cases or can't you cus of heat. What would that cost too.

its your call on the cylinder and head etc. i just coat parts, i dont figure out what you should do:D :blah:

is it posible to blow the motor if the cylinder head is coated?

i highly doubt it, but being in a position to draw negative feedback if an engine was to grenade and have my work blamed is a risk i prefer to avoid:p

Yea I guess that's something you have to always consider. Okay so how much to PC the sidecases Red and molycoat the whole cylinder.
