well i have had a horrible day today i got my stock jets for my cr125 through the mail and put them on well i changed the sparkplug with a new one and started it up and it went wide open so i popped the clutch to try to make it die and it didnt die instead it climbed up our 400ex and knocked our huge air compressor over so i turned the gas off and it still went wide open for about 30seconds and burned half of the thread off of my tire and it finally died after burning the rest of the gas left in the carburetor

so my question is what is wrong with is it running to lean or to rich or is the idle to high

and my other question is what can i do to stop it next time is their anything else to do other than turn the gas off

Sounds like the slider stuck open in the carb or something, it shouldn't run wide open like that. Where's the kill switch?

make sure the slide went into the groove

the TORS unit should of killed your blaster, but take your carb off and make sure the slide is in the groove or it wont go down, it has nothing to do with jetting.

and i dont understand how a kill switch doesnt work it will automaticly kill the spark.

the blaster thing happened like a year ago but anyways i will tear the carb apart again and see if its the slide

i promise i aint lying about either one my friend had his 300ex set in front of my blaster when the blaster done it but i freaked b/c i turned the killswitch off and it still was going wide open so i kicked it into gear and it died on my blaster but the dirtbike kept going

if the metal rod that goes into the groove is bent a little would it do that

i would highly doubt that the little peice of metal like that could bend... im sure you just need to have the slide ride in the groove.

ok after not messing with it for 2 weeks yesterday i took the carb off again and i checked the slide it opens and closes when i give it throttle and the needle fits down in the little groove i was on thumpertalk and they said it could be a huge air leak so i made sure the carb was in the intake manifold and in the air filter boot so what else could be the problem i want to clear anything it could be before i start it up again because i dont wanna blow the engine
