to have fun and just flying through the trees and the occaional joy ride to look around the woods. and the sound then my quad when im ripping around. also schooling your frends on your own trails then when you go to there house they loose you.
#1 reason is just having fun.

So many reasons.....Adrenaline being a big one. Also, when you are out there, all the everyday worries fade away. Love of the sport, and nature.

id have to agree with all of these! i like being in the woods and checking out the streams and stuff and seeing if theres anything interesting around when taking a break from riding. its fun to try and progress and accomplish things you havent done before. but all in all i just love the sport. those are the reasons why i ride.

Those and the fact that you can never be the best you can. Every time you tide you learn how to do something better or faster like how to take a certain turn faster (well at least I do.)

i ride to spend time with my son, for me too but mainly my son. he use to get in trouble for being class clown at school. now we got quads and ride, he has calmed down alot. we go to store together and just talk instead of listening to radio. whenever we ride we go together, he wont ride without me and i wont ride without him, now we are doing are winter teardowns and spend gobs of time in the garage. its making both of us better people. the adrinalin for sure, I have 4 kids and my wife ride also.
its a good feeling, taking them out and showing them all the little advantagious things.
Its just fun to challenge yourself and your quad.
the feeling of acomplishment when you make it up something you wasnt sure of, or clear that big double that felt like you where in the air forever, and that perfect landing on the gas.
or when you have the fastest thing at the track.

People tell me that I am crazy for riding a dirtbike or quad, and I tell them that I would go crazy if i don't. There is not other sport like this one. I am somewhat of an adrenaline junkie (or so what people call me), so this sport kinda goes hand in hand with that.
Live to ride, Ride to live. :D

I'm older than some of you in this forum and a hole lot older than most of you. .In the old days I rode the street and woods on motorcycles ( no quads in those days). I loved to ride the dirt and did it every chance I could. I raced and rode like no tomorrow. I rode my street bike like I rode the dirt bike. One day I rode the street too hard and crashed...very bad. I am a paraplegic because of that little misfortune. That was 20 yrs. ago. I cannot ride the motorcycles any more so I bought a Quad. An old mans quad (automatic) My wife and myself have our own quads. So riding is a way for me to get out to the woods and go places I normally don't have the opportunity to see. I love to ride and my wife does too. It's a little harder now but nothing I can't over come. Being a Para. WE also get to ride in some National Parks that other ppl. can't. So see there is a little good that comes from everything...Keep riding ...I AM
while I have this space I would like to ask a question........ Do you ( younger) people misspell these words on purpose or do you just don't how to spell???

I have a friend who is in a wheel chair, he is my assistant wrestling coach and he rides an automatic atv also. its good to be able to get out and just cruse around the woods/trails.
oh the spelling thing...................I cant spell worth a crap, If I catch it or im not sure I will try to use a different word or abriviate.
(im pretty sure the words diff. and abr. are miss spelled but normally I wouldnt use them if I cant spell them)
its my only flaw and I would correct it but Im not sure my wife could handle complete perfection hahaha
