View Full Version : FMF Power Core 4 any good? need new muffler dont know what to get.

I just bought a 02 400ex. It is pretty much stock. First thing i need to get is a new muffler what should i get. I was thinking a FMF Power Core 4. Anyone have a sound clip of one? anyone have any recommendations?

I think a couple threads down there is a thread on this. They have my take on it.

In any case, I will try to get a sound clip of it on my EX.

that be awsome. video or sound clip works for me. How is the sound for you? is it Extremely loud? can you give me alittle info on it?

Go for the HMF everyone on here seems to like them.

im not very fond of fmf but it doesnt sound bad its real deep

im partial to hmf they will give you the most bang for your buck

but its your call just do some research first!!!

I actually really like the way they sound. They have a nice, deep tone. They are not overly loud, but rumble pretty well.

man, i got no complaints about my fmf. it sounds really good and has plenty of power. people never really say much about them in this forum but they r still a good pipe.

The first pipe I ever got for my 400 was the Power Core IV 2 (square core) slip-on. It had a nice deep tone to it that didn't sound like any other pipe out there. I liked how lightweight it was. There's other pipes out there that make more power but that pipe was pretty solid.

The Powercore sounds sick ( I like the deep note better than my HMF). Performance isn't that great but an all around good pipe.

:cool: Dr.D is an AWESOME pipe for the 400ex it's not all that loud and it pulls very hard through all RPM ranges.
