Rear shock conversions

Okay, I now have 3 OEM rears, 1 has a dual rate ZPS setup by JH Racing with his aftermarket link. I am trying to figure out where to send my other one.

I have heard of a PEP conversion that carries a hefty price tag. Any one have any thoughts on this coversion? Ride reviews!

I have ridden GT Thunders rear on my bro's 450R and it feels very good, comparable to my rear on my 450R by JH Racing.

I know there are tons of companies out there but most of the styles and rebuilds are the same?

I know of the main styles: TCS, Dual-rate ZPS, Progressive rate rear.........I may be missing a few.

I have never heard a ride report comparing them.

Also, who does these PEP rear conversions? I want to test multiple rear shocks on the rear of my bike, all will be converted OEM rear shocks.

I will be running PEP Quad-rate ZPS front shocks on +2 arms for MX if that matters to anyone.

Ive been using C&D and Derisi.

Both have given excellent service and we have been completly satisfied with thier work.

Both get the job done quickly, with C&D being a bit faster then Derisi, both will talk with you and work with you to get the shock dialed in after the sale etc.

Not sure if there is a "best" out there, but I have no problem refering folks to either of these two companies.

pappy is right, there really isnt a "best" you can give the exact same specs to c&d, derisi and gthunder and chances are you will get three different shocks. it all depends on the builders theory of what works best. little softer here, little stiffer there, a little more or less ride height....

We are testing a new true dual rate rear setup and have had good results and still are able to obtain the same ride height. Testing has been limited due to the frigid weather :(

I had HydroDynamics/ iShock do a rear for a 450r, it was alright...I just needed something besides stock, needed it cheap and fast. I would not do it again though if that says anything about how I really feel about it

I had C&D do my 01 Raptor rear
shock and all I can say is
NIGHT & DAY
C&D will be getting all my shock
work in the future very happy!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto on teh testing, I have a race this weekend and one the 7th of Januarry. I would be glad to test it out :devil: I gurantee teh triple sanction in Alabama will test any rear shock out, solid whoops for 2 hours.:eek2:

I have had TCS rebuild me a TRX450r, a Predator and an LT-R450 rear shock and to me they work extremely well. I can't compare them to any other company cause I've never used anything else.
