400ex offical jetting thread

post up your mods(i.e. motor work,pipe,air filter,air box mods)-jet brand-size-pilot size-needle clip location-turns on a/f screw and where you are located....maybe we could sticky this for future reference??

Located at sea level, 48 degrees, Humidity 50%, JE 10.8:1 87mm, hot cam stg2, cometic gaskets, white bros slip-on no S/A, twin air filters.

Jetting: 165 main, 42 pilot, 2.5 turns A/F screw, needle on 3rd clip from top....running a bit lean because of the sudden change in temp.

440 Stroker--11.3:1 comp, stg 3 Hotcams, P&P head, WB E-series slip on, stock carb and headpipe, K&N Filter--no lid, no choke.

42 pilot, 175 main, clip down one from stock, 2.5 turns on the A/F screw.

Setup works great from 0-3000 feet.

Located 250ft above sea level. Temperature 50 to 90. Humidity is fairly dry. Stock Motor, EHS Racing Lid, Uni Filter, Snokel Removed, and DynoJet Stage 2 Jet Kit. I have a HMF Slip on coming for Christmas. I'll update this once I rejet.

42 Pilot Jet (Keihin), 160 Main Jet (DynoJet), Clip on Middle Slot of the Needle and A/F Screw is 2 turns out.
