if u do jus hard ridin and wanna save some $$ get works. if you do a lil racin and wanna have some nice shocks go wit elka or tcs axis or ohlins. but they gonna be high. all the top ones vary prices.

If money is not an issue get Axis, Elka is good too. but have yet to be fully proven. (I'm getting a set still tho)..

But if money is the issue get Elka. Elka is the best value on the market, High grade material and they make long travel's.

Elka's are built very very simalir to axis and in some ways better.

I think PEP and TCS are awsome but arn't built with as good materials or built with such care. I think tney may even use works bodies..

Works are economy type shocks, they are alot better then stock but axis, elka, tcs, or pep, BLOW the works outa the water.

Axis doesn`t have the shortest wait either. Elka is the best if you don`t want to wait.

Hey 400exracerX I was wondering if you could do me a favor and measure from where the shaft comes out of the body to the bottom of the bumper. I'm curious because my elkas only have 5in which is the same as my axis 16' shocks have which seems to me that they would actually be the same amount of travel? Also I am running them on houser +3 a arms what are you running your shocks on? Any help would be appreciated. Later

The Axis shocks are WELL WORTH the money. I have the Dual rate fronts, rebound and compr. adj. and LOVE THEM. And i just put the back Long travel shock on........AWESOME!! I would go with Axis if u want proven performance. If u have the cash to get them. It took me 3 weeks to get my long travel back shock. Not that long!

I waited 4 days, since I am personal friends with a dealer.

I am running them on +2 housers with standard offset rims.

ok i can see comparing Elka and Axis, but works is notwhere in the ballpark of those two. Works is a cheap shock if u dont want to spend the money to but the high dollar shocks, and this guy wants GOOD shocks, not an economic shock. Works are fine for guys just going out and messing around, but if u want a good shock, ide go with Axis or Elka

I love mine...they cost me 1500...the faster you go the smoother the ride...and lemme tell ya that makes you go fast, if you like to put like a lil wuss dont get axis...there made to go fast with. I love them, have works with rezzis before(they dont compare)

Hold on i have a pic to prove it

You know what my best friend has axis all the way around on his ex and I have works we both race togather everyother day at all these tracks all over ohio virgina penn....And one day we swaped rides I feel that my works are great awsome shocks then I hopped on his and the axis shocks where good too real nice ride but when it comes down to it....he paid 1200 for his shocks and 950 for rear I paid around 500 for fronts and 600 for rear.....and I personally think they are not ''that good'' for the price you pay for them....I do admitt they are better but not way better not for that price.....

If you have the cash get axis.....I have the cash to get them just choose not too....And for the people who say works are just for putting around well thats not true at all....it all depends on the rider.....I beat guys all the time who have the best of everything...
