Outlaw IMS tank

I noticed Steph Parton had a IMS tank on her 525 at the last race so I called IMS to order one and they said that they can't sell them and that they can only be purchased through Polaris. So I called the techs and they said that they are only for the GNCC racers and arent for sale yet. That is a bunch of political bull crap!!!

I believe the 525 comes stock with the IMS. It has a 3.9 gal tank.

I got one from IMS But I am getting read for the WORCS series opener next month at Phoenix. The fit was not up to IMS standers. I had too glue in some cut ½ inch fuel lines on the steering stem support so the tank would not move about and had to enlarge the hole for the fuel petcock. The top cover is gone but I had to trim the side panels so the front plastic would fit. Going out this weekend too see if I make any thing work loose.

PS mine is 3.6 gal and for the Oulaw not the Otlaw 525

I thought that you got rid of your Outlaw for the new 525. You don't already have a 525 do you? if you do you are obligated to give me some feedback and pictures!

I sold my Predator the plain is to set up the Outlaw for the dunes and the 525 for WORCS.

The Outlaw will turn in too a 552 dune monster and may be a 576 some day.

Do you know if the tank is available in black and can you get in a drybreak?

Not sure on the color but you should be able to get a drybreak

Whats the size of the IMS compared to the stock 525 tank?

Why would the stock 525 have a smaller tank than the IMS. That makes no sense.

the 525 is .3 larger tham the IMS they probley had to make it smaller too get the ok from Polaris who paid for the molds.

ok now I get it. The 500 has a 3.25 gallon tank and the 525 has a 3.9 gallon tank becasue the motor is a little shorter. So we might see a 4.2 gallon tank for the 525?

Well 4.0 gal is the limit in the pro class, so they might not. But I guess will see.

I know a guy that had to cut the fill neck out and bolt on the dry break receiver. I think IMS gave him a template to use. If they don't have a drybreak available at first this is an option.

I tested the IMS tank yesterday and it works. I does only add about 1/4 of a gallon more but I like that I can see how much gas I have left.

I used an IMS tank for the 500 Outlaw w/ a Drybreak. As for availability to other people, I have no clue.
