I was interested in getting a yoshimura exhaust for my '05 400ex. I was curious if there are any places to get sound files or what it would sound like on a stock bike. Any ideas?

I do appreciate you advice. I haven't made up my mind 100%. I've never heard the yosh on a 400ex. I know people with the HMF and they're loud!! If nobody has a sound file, what would you say the loudness level is between the two for a basically stock motor.

i think the yoshi is like 96db
the HMF is 105db...but you can get a quiet cor

the HMF is a great pipe. my friend has a yoshi on his 400ex and he said that he likes the sound of the HMF much better then his yoshi.

Where are the best places to buy each exhaust. The best i can find is rockymountainatv for the yosh is about $400. For HMF i've seen eBay for $437. I'm looking for the full exhaust by the way.

I would get a slip-on to be honest the stock header is good and the performance you will gain from it is minimal.
just my .02

My brother just got the full yosh for his raptor... It has 3 different peices to put in to make it more quiet..

The lowest one sounds like stock and with just a saprk arrestor in it is louder than my full dg exhasut.
