So with them being pretty cheap, you would buy them over holeshots or Razers?

I have been checking out those tires too, I am getting the Knarley XC. I was looking into the Knarley HT but I could not find any good info on them.

I just think 50 bucks a tire sounds alot better than 80 bucks a tire. But thats only if they are just as good.

I'm going to get them or the Maxxis I-razors.
I've heard nothing but good things about all Kenda tires. There about half of what a set of Razors2 cost.

I just looked it up they are about $195ish for all four. But I think I can get them cheaper from my local dealer.

They are a great tire, but you may like the Kenda Klaw XCR even better here in MO.

Klaw pic.

This tire cleans much eaiser than a closer lug spaced tire.

Why them over the other XC kenda's

They will throw mud out of the space between the lugs better. Forward traction should be about the same and cornering will be more predictable on varied terrain. A square patterned tire tends to be very predictable on hardpack/dry conditions. But, the v-pattern of the Klaw tends to be more predictable when you get into the softer terrain/wet conditions. It's a great all-around tire.

The XC will be a great tire don't get me wrong.. but we see a lot of varied conditions on the same trail here in MO, and the Klaw fits the all-around tire function a tad better.

Also on off-cambers.. the v-tread will help push the rearend helping to keep the rear end from sliding downhill a bit. ;)

For all-around.. I personally run a Kenda Klaw XCR Rear, and a Maxxis Razr2 front.

Ok I agree with you one the rears. But what do you think about the fronts? Would you run the razer2's over the kenda fronts?

I ran the xc rear kenda and fronts all last season. I really liked the traction of the tires. They were very predictable and a price which coundnt be beat. That was when they only had the 4 ply fronts. And only being 4 ply my fronts were prone to many flats. Im going with a razor rear and razor 2 front for next season. But may switch back over to kenda if the maxxis tires dont work for me.

Would the Kenda Klaws be good for a harder packed track... I need something that will preform good, even when they turn the sprinklers on:ermm: Which I hate:mad:

i ran the Klaw XCR on the rear of my 300ex all season long. As you know, I race in some nasty chit, well these tires never got me stuck. For the last two races I flipped them around to try them reverese and the reverse tread is amazing! for muddy conditions. Heres a pic of what they look lik eafter a year of racing....i will probaly get a set for the 450 if not these, Razr II's.

So running the reverse tread is pretty good? Is there any reason why you are running maxxis on the front?

I'll probably give them a try:) I bought a set of XC Klaws and ended up getting out of trail riding, so never got the chance to try them. But with Kenda's being lower price and getting free shipping through Rockymountain... you diffenitly can't beat that:macho

I just checked out RM again... total for mx Klaws would be about 174.00 and mx Razr's would be $160.00
hmm... tough choice now. lol Holeshots are diffenitly out of the question, almost 20.00 more per tire:ermm: Plus I have them now and want to try something else. Anyone try the mx Razr's???

The klaw and knarly HT rears are good tires. I've had both and now have the Knarly XC's, but haven't tried them yet.

The klaw fronts on the other hand I have to say I was not real impressed with. The 4ply is too weak in the side walls and they have a tendency to push in the corners. The razr2 fronts are by far the BEST steering front tire I've ever ran and they're 6ply. ;) I will most likely continue to run the knarly rears, but will never own another front tire other than the razr2's.

So don't go with the kenda fronts? Go with either holeshot's or razer2's?
