AfterMarket Skid Plate Missing Chain Ride Plastic! Help!

I have an aftermarket plate and my chain bangs the crap out of it. I tried screwing some plastic(plastic for the bottom area of wall that protects from water leakage) and it came off after a few rides. The screw ends sticking out of the bottom would spark on rocks! Other riders look down on their bike to see what may be wrong while on the track.

What type of plastic or rubber should I buy and how should I install it to prevent the chain from hitting any screws?

I think that plastic peice is just pop riveted on to the skid plate. So you may try that with your old peice before you buy a new one.
