well i got a new set before last winter and i ran them in some dirt ( lol ) and im still going to une them this winter so they actualy last a long time..but you cant go on pavement at all or anything for that matter..stay on snow and thell last for a long time...and in front im using a set of ITP sandstars this winter..it will be my first time but i have always used wtv tire i have on my bike..the only hting is you realy have to help the front end if have 4-snows on cuz they go straight and thats all they wan tto do so you kinda have to work a littl eharder to make fast turns...
ill let you know when i get to use my sandstars ..

Where do you buy these 4 snow tires or who makes them? How deep of snow can you go in with them.

sounds like I need to get a set. I googled it and didn't come up with much.

EDIT: I found them and they are Maxxis tires

http://www.maxxis.com/products/atv/product_detail.asp?id=212

I suspect in too deep of snow they would just fill up and become slicks.

I only had them in dirt and sand. They did not turn very well, but if you want an awesome hook they work great. The fins are not very big so they are fine in the dirt. Who ever is behind you is going to hate you because of the roost you throw up.

Exactly......seriously, you HAVE to try them. Me and a few of my friends have them. The ones that don't always borrow them. And I'm not even talking about in the snow!!

Any more opinions on the M910 4-Snow snow tire?

Also what size do I run on a stock 86 rim?

GBC also makes a paddle tire for mud and snow and they are pretty tough, a few guys have used them for coal pit riding and they hold up well to that.

For the stock rear rim you need a 9" tire. The 4 snows come only in 22x11x8 and 22x11x9. The tall narrow profile helps it to push you through the snow with less resistance. They are great. Snow wheelies are possible on those things. At stock ride height on powdery snow, 12" deep isn't out of the question.

You'll want a good front tire so that you can steer, and even a good tire up front is going to need some body english, throttle and brake technique to set up for the turns. I like Razr and Razr2 up front the best-- work good in everything from snow to sand to mud.

Jet your quad fat for the cold weather and dress in layers. Winter riding is good stuff.

Chapparral has a good price on the 4snows.

Ohtsu Pro Wedge and AMS Zipper are virtually the same tire if you can find either of those easier.

Good luck!
