nay. i cant even sell my long travel z400 for 3600...theres no way thats worth 3800 with stock suspension. if you try to flip it youll probably end up losing money. its hard to make money selling quads. you almost always lose, unless you have a rare original 250r or something of that sort.

Why is everything in quotes?

nah, it seems every market out there including ATVs is flooded, unless its something really rare or extremly cheap, dont bother

That's the thing. Up here in Ontario a 2003 Yamaha Raptor 660 sells for about $5000-5500+, and a 01 400ex sells for about 4300. It's not exactly flooded up here for some reason, finding a quad for under 5k thats something good like a raptor, 450r, yfz, is a rare occurance unfortunately. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen a YFZ/450R for under 5500.

I've always made revenue on all my of my ATVs, though. I just like trying new machines, and making money along the way. Not always a heck of alot, but it's better than losing money.

I'm not so sure about what the demand for an LTZ400 would sell for up here. Never really payed attention to them.

But what's weird in the US is you can pick up pretty much any quad for next to nothin, and raptors are for sale by the dozens for dirt cheap and yet up here a 2001 will sell for about 4500.

NAY

It's hard to make money selling quads

and it's Canadian dollars so 38 is still pretty good, but unless you already know someone that would buy it. It's tough to flip anything liek that and you could always get stuck with it.

nay, however yellowz03 you dont always lose on atvs. just keep looking and youll find good deals. I recently bought a 06 300ex for 2800 with about 10 miles on it.

...yeah so if your saying you got a good deal the seller LOST money...thats exactly what i said haha. almost everyone takes a loss when they sell their quad that ive seen.

I wouldn't do it .

I had the hardest time getting rid of my YFZ 450 . I had it advertised for about 5 months locally and province wide . It was an '04 YFZ 450 and it was practically brand new , I mean you could eat off the frame if you wanted to . The quad retailed for $10 000 , I let it go for $6500 ... I was just happy to have gotten rid of it . The dealership wouldn't even give me $4000 on a trade in .

The sport quad market up here is a VERY TOUGH market . You'll invest so much money and energy trying to sell it , that it just won't be worth it . Plus it's almost winter .... the focus goes from ATVs to sleds this time of year .

I know a guy with a fully built LTZ 400 . I mena it's got Yoshimura engine work , LSR a-arms, swingarm , steering stem , PEP shocks , axle , nerfs, bumpers, exhaust, you name it , it's got it . He's been trying to sell it for $6000 for the last 2 years . I think he's brought the price down to $4500 and the last time I checked , it was still sitting in the corner of his garage collecting dust .

In my Opinion ... Not Worth It !!!!

thats a hard one, you could probably flip it and if ya briefly rode it you could probably get your moneys worth out of it...it worked for me and i'm in the same gerneral area as you, i bought a stock 01 400ex for 3500, rode it for 8 months and sold it for 4700 with a uni filter and razr fronts, then I had enough for a 450, so i say go for it!

other than a raptor i dont really think theres much out there i want... :scary:

I know a guy up here that has an '03 Raptor that you could probably pick up for less than $5000 if you were willing to travel . Him and his wife are in need of money!!!!!
