Question about nerfs

Will a set of AC Racing nerf bars work with the stock pegs and GYT-R heel guards on a 2003 Yamaha Raptor? I want to keep the heel guards.

I don't see why they wouldn't. As long as you aren't getting pro pegs, or the ones with an integrated heel guards you should be fine. Most standard nerfs just bolt up to the front of the peg.

AC says the nerf bars will fit '01-'04 Raptors, however I have factory 2005 Raptor foot pegs on mine which are about half an inch wider that the original '03 pegs it came with. So I am thinking this may prevent them from fitting, since it would push the front mount about half an inch forward. Any ideas?

A half inch shouldn't make too much of a difference as long as the bolt holes match up where the nerf would be attaching to. I've had to bend my nerfs to fit sometimes. Tried calling AC?

5 minutes with a hack saw and theyll fit right up. thats what my friend did
