Would it be a good idea to run the fuel out of the carb after a ride if i'm not going to be riding again for a long while? I started my quad up after sitting for two months and it seems to fuel in the carb got really stale and would barely burn.

we used to run the fuel out of our carbs tell we left them sitting one summer and all the gunk that was in the carb got dried out and it was a pain to clean. We've left fuel in the carbs for the last 2 summers now and have had no problems.

The only reason I would see to drain fuel out of your carb, is if you were using oxygenated fuel...

But I could be wrong...I'm no expert on long term ATV storage.

Rather than running it out I'd just lossen the screw below the bowl and drain the bowl so as to get everything out.

run nonoxygenated fuel, and before you store the wheeler in the shed, turn your fuel valve off and run it tell it dies. or run fuel stabilizer in it. you should be ok then.

never really stored it long enuf to be sure. If I was doing any period of time chances are I would have the carb off for a good cleaning anyways.
