There is a LOT of gas leaking out my gas overflow tube, should i clean out the carb? how would i close my float? oh yea this a is a brand new 02 Stock blaster- no mods

check the float valve and clean you vent hoses

take the carb off, take the float off and check the valve make sure it isnt stuck and just check the hoses make sure they arent plugged off with dirt.

When that happens 90% of the time it's because your floats are getting stuck up. All you have to do is remove the bowl at the bottom of the carb usually 3-4 bolts. Your floats are in there, they are usually plastic, they float in the gas if they're stuck on up it's like your throttle is all the way open causung fuel to come in the carb with no place to go, but out the over-fill tube. When you see the floats just move them up and down, make sure nothing is in the way of them. If you get them to move up and down freely with ease, then put the carb back togehter and it should be fine. You can also occasionaly get them unstuck without taking the carb off the bike and apart. Try tapping on the bottom of the carb at the bowl where the floats are with the handle of a screw driver, it will usually cause the floats to fall down from being stuck. If it's a constant problem take it apart.
