tractor racing

looking for some good ideas on how 2 make my tractor faster i no changing the belts and pulleys will make it faster.im not doing any serious racing jus screwing around with some friends.is there anything else i can do also my spark plug is buring lean will this cause my motor to over heat and blow up? thanxs

i noticed that he was from nh also ( actually right near me) and NPelletier im pretty sure ur form nh to. i used to be into that whole thing wiht the lawn mowers. the easiest thing is the pullys

I had a lawn mower that i messed around with. I took the govonor off and used a bycicle brake lever and cable for the new throttle. I put it on the deck hight adjuster I think.



IM from NH too.

yeh take off the govenor take baffels out of the exaust thake all the crap off the air filter(cover/foam)

i draged them into it haha. but yea im not to sure on how to take the governor out? anybody no where its located and how 2 do it? also how much faster does it make it by changing the pulleys? i all ready cut the mower deck off took of a bunch of unneed solid steel and the air filter and all that crap.

taking the govoner off is easy just find the carb and run a throttle cable off it, make shure you have a throttle return spring tho.

depending on how many Hp your mower is. I bet you can get it as fast as you would want to go with the crapy steering and high center of gravety. so probly about 35 mph.

yah, my rider needs a new belt and prob pulleys, maybe ill mess with it a little and ocme show u guys how to rip it up lawnmower style, ill thow some old atv tires on the back lol:D :macho :blah:

see if my dad will weld a bar to the back of it and see if i can pull wheelies, i doubt it with that big 11cc engine in the front, can u say GRUNT:cool:

I say ditch the lawnmore and put a snowmobile engine is a golf cart:macho

ya were going to race them sat over at grahams house then were going offroading haha theres like 6 of us going. ya i have a kohler 12 hp motor in mine 4 speed. but thanxs 4 all the help appericate it.
