i am gona rebuild my 400ex to a 440ex, with cam and other stuff
if i get a new clutch, should i get heavier clutch springs.

Its not needed but stiffer springs lesson the chance of haveing the clutch slip. Dont really need them at less it has really high hp.

Heavy springs increase clutch life. If you buy a complete clutch kit it will come with heavier springs. They can also be purchased seperately if your clutch is still in good shape.

I would definatly do it while you are tearing it apart. They arent going to hurt anything and they prevent your clutch from slipping.
