I want to run GNCC "STOCK" utility class next year. But I have some questions about racing my king quad 700.
here are the rules
These are my plans. PLease let me know what I can and can't run. This is also going to be a daily ridin machine so it needs to be versistile (sp?).
Stuff I know I can do.
OMF Beadlocks and tires (not sure yet what kind)
Skids
Hand guards
Stuff not sure about
Grips
Steering stab (guessing no since it says it)
Front Shocks
Seat Cover
VDI Box
my homemade pegs (I love them)
My CVT snorkle system
Twin Air Filter (already on there, don't really want to run stock filter)
And O yea Nitrous....JJ
Anyother tips are welcome and what other changes is the GNCC thinking bout?
Edit: My funds are low as well so I won't be able to buy everything at once. Think I could run diffrent tires on my stock rims until next year?
Thanks

I think they are getting rid of the stock class. They are switching to a 4x4lites class 500cc and under, and then an open class where anything goes. It was on a quik fill about a month ago.

From what I heard there will be a 4 utility classes, Unlimited, Stock and Modified under 500cc and over 500cc.
I would just call GNCC.com to see what you can and cant do, There very helpful! I'm sure things like Steering Stab, VDI and shocks are a no. And the tires to use if you don't have tire balls are Maxxis Big Horns.
If I where you Josh, I would just focus on riding a lot and getting in Great Shape! Thats more important then what your quad has or doesn't have.

Thanks for the advice
I have been racing sport quads for 3 years now off and on but i just really started getting into it. I have always been a big fan of utility racing and now I just bought mine and would like to try it.
That is one of my new years resolution things: Get into shape:scary:
I just bought my winch (gotta have could have used it alrady) Now my next purchase is skid plates.
I will be running this quad in a bunch of local races before the nationals to get ust to the machine.
I will guve GNCC a call and see what is up with the classes so I know what direction I want to go.

Hey Josh,
Was at the GNCC banquet and they are having a 4 x 4 lite, 4 x 4 heavy (mod) and they are going to have stock class again which will be called limited. The rules are you can do anything to your quad in that class except engine mods, clutch mods, exhaust mods and air box--anything else goes . Don't do anything though until you see the rulebook on the GNCC site.

Wow! that will be nice for Stock Class! Do you know when they are going to have all the rules and race dates finalized Ken?
I always thought shocks should be allowed in stock class, because some utility machines are just plan dangerous in stock form with body roll and front end dive.

Not sure when they are going to have them up, it is definately going to be a switch, but I can tell you that there was really nothing stock about our quads before, other than the engines. We can now change bars to Flexx Bars, add any type of footpeg, replace stock rear shock, tireballs, I think would be included also. The only difference between stock (limited) and mod. (heavy) is going to be the engine work. They also put an 800cc limit on any machine that races GNCC. No more 840's and bigger. Hopefully all of these rules will change, just make sure you keep posted to the website before making any drastic changes to your machines.

Thanks for the info. I will keep checking the site before I make anypurchases. Hopefully I can run a Airfilter though cuz Suzuki has a very crappy filter stock.
Ken what class will you be running? I might be bangin some bars with ya next year in a few races:D

Have an option for every class, just waiting on a contract for the best offer.
