So everyone knows the coast of an anti-vibe steering stem.So what if i took out the stock bar clamps and drilled the top of the stem out and welded the appropriate size piece of pipe to except just the rubber mounts from a regular anti-vibe stem.Which usually is around 80 to 90 bucks.Do you think this would work it would be real easy to do if it worked

I don't see why it wouldn't work, provided you spend the time to get it lined up properly and check all your clearances.

You could mount the pipes below or above the flange on the stock stem, or drill it out all the way and place the pipes halfway.

Do a little testing on the strength, it might be beneficial to weld some support brackets, or another plate on top of the flange for added strength.

Post pictures, I bet there are several people that would be intrested in this modification. Pictures and detail, (in a new thread) and I'll make sure it gets added to the How To section.
