I bought one of these:

Do I install it on the upper line or the lower line? The lower line has some braided protector on it that i'd have to cut. You guys think these things actually help?

no, but i dont touch them to find out either. lol my buddy did just buy one that has a temp gauge in it though. if i had to guess i would say the top one is hotter since the top is where the thermostat opens and lets the hot coolant back into the radiator.

Right... so you would want you motor to run cooler so you install it on the bottom one. Out with the bad in with the good.... atleast I think I heard that in the movie Dumb and Dumber lol.

I would say to put one on both IF they work. Cooler going into the rad and cooler coming out of the rad and even cooler going thru the inline back to the motor!

Upper is the outlet from the engine, lower is inlet. If you want to put it in the lower keep it fwd, closer to the rad. You don't want the heat from the exhaust pipe radiating on to the finned cooler.
That kinda defeats the purpose right?
