Valve Cover Bolts Breaking!

Has anyone experience the valve cover bolts breaking under low torque application? I've broken 3 of these bolts... the first by hand tightening, the second when I loosened it, and the 3rd with a torque wrench set at 8 ft-lbs. Is this a common problem? Are these bolts just crap? I'm about to buy some class 8.8 bolts and replace 'em all.

Yeah its common every 400ex that ive ever takin apart has had atleast half the bolts stripped...They are just weak aluminum that strips easy..Even if you barely tighten them they strip so its not the person whos doin it in most cases.
