Since putting in my 440 kit (11:1) I do not get much cranking before the battery dies.
Is anyone getting a battery with more cranking power or do you think this battery is just weak? Will dealers test ATV batteries?
Thanks

battery is prolly just weak. but you could replace it with a busa battery that has more cca's than stock.

Thanks, the battery is six years old. It must be time.

Six years is pretty remarkable for an ATV battery!

Six years? Mine only lasted two on a stock engine.

I have my original battery from 2002, although im not the original owner. This battery has held up good, I even drained it completely to try to start my quad (found out killswitch was off).

Talk to Pappy. True, he might come across as an ignorant, inbred hick, but he actually knows a thing or two about batteries.
and I think you can still buy them through him.
