Popped the chain on my son's 400 Scrambler today. Figured I'd get him a complete Chain and sprocket set. I think it's a 13/38 stock. Should I keep the stock specs or change? How does the tooth number change performance? Whats a good site to buy this?

If you go down one tooth in the front you will get more low end, but loose time top end. Then if you go up one tooth or more you loose bottom end but gain top end.

Thanks for the hollaback! Any good websites to buy these? Looks like a pretty simple job to replace. Would you agree?

Easy job to do yourself. I have a 13 front 41 rear. I have tons of bottom end but lost lots on the top end. I like to race and go to the dunes and hill climb so i have found that it works for me.

aight... any good websites to get sprockets and chains? If I go a little larger on the rear sprocket, do I need a longer chain?

You can check out partsforatvs.com they are pretty cheap and fast shipping. If your going for more torque you go smaller in the front and larger in the back and vice-versa for top end speed.
