I am working on a wonderful 98 banshee and one day it will fire right up and the others I kick my guts out to get it to fire. I 've cleaned the carbs, put fresh gas in it, new br8es plugs in it, the bike has good spark, I also switched from a thumb throttle to a twist throttle. I was wondering if I can just unplug the electrical connector from to throttle or do I have to connect the two wires together? The TORS was already taken off the bike. Yes dynamite would save my butt but the bike is not mine!!!! Any clues?

The comprssion is 145 lbs a piece and it is in my garage which is around 60 degrees or warmer and the carbs are in syn. Anything else will help.

I belive if I can remember right all i did was unplug the throttle wires and snipped them off.

Also make sure you floats are adjusted correctly

hit the gas 2-3 times with the choke on, kick it once or twice, turn the gas off & hold the choke out and give it gas while kicking, if it starts turn the gas back on and warm it up with the choke or not which ever it wants to start on.

I always had to do this.

Turn gas on
While standing on quad shake is back and forth a few times (Seemed to get the fuel to it faster)

Choke it

Pump gas twice.

2 kick and its going.

If I didn't shake it it seemed to take 15 kicks lol

the feul mixes in your tank when you shake it, believe it or not the oils that you use seperate and form an super oily mixture towards the bottom of the tank, so when you shake it it mixes it around better.

There's a vaccuum hose between the carbs that when you choke it, it chokes both sides. I had the same problem with mine and it was that I forgot to connect that vaccuum line to the other carb. It's only about 2-3" long. Check that.
