im pretty sure they outlawed them from racing but i would hope they would not ban them from just ridding at a track for fun. that would be ridiculous

Also depends whats done to the 250, i've notice the powervalved one's are smokin fast, without powervalve and I can usually pull them without much trouble. Then again I dont weigh much so that could be why im pretty quick on my 450, or even my 416.

I have got a full National duncan racing 265 powervalve and a built 450
In good traction its just as fast as a built 450R but on a track with loose dirt or not alot of traction the 450 will put down faster lap times.

All in all the 450 is not faster than the 250R it is just easier to ride.

On a track the 450 has an advantage but put the 2 side by side in the sand or on asphault and it will be a different story.

Hope this helps.

I am surprised because I have drag raced my friend with a a 330 pv and I did great till he got me in 6th. Plus I came to find out my intake valve was getting stuck open,my bike was bogging out that day. That wasnt on the track though. My buddy has the protrax and that thing is nuts you can hammer through whoops like nothing.I am not saying the 350r isnt fast , it sure is one bad mofo bike but I dont think its worlds faster. Defintely lighter and easier to throw around. I would like to own both. Right now I am trying to get the 450 done then I want to pickup a 250r. You cant go wrong with either choice I am sure you will be happy. Remember the one that dies with the most toys wins!

i bought a 450r to run production classes, and I would like to keep the R, but financially i cant have both. it would be a great machine for any B and C classer. Top of the line everything
