Well ive decided to get a little bump in my truck. I have an 03 f150 with the supercrew so along with space, my box choices are limited. The best one i could find for the price is this http://www.supercrewsound.com/shop/detail/11/43.htm

I need to know is what size and how many cut outs for the subs i should get? Im wondering what will sound better, 2 8's, 1 10", 2 10's, 1 12"?
What kind of amp should i run with what set up? Im not looking to have the best set up out there, i just dont want something that will sound like garbage either. Any advice is appreciated, im getting all my stuff (minus the box) from a shop, and since i dont know what im talking about i dont want to get ripped off. thanks

Id say get the 2 10's with a single channel amp, thats what i had for my last system, 2 kicker comp vr's in a sealed box w/ a kenwood 500x1 amp. It was the best sounding system i had in a while:macho
But everybodys ears are different tho, what sounds good to me might not sound good to you.:ermm:

well i like bass but a lot of my buddies' cars have just too much, sometimes you cant tell what song it is. I like to hear my music but get some punch too.

haha. Thats how my buddies are, they go out buying 15's and 1000 something watt amps and they leave the highs stock. All they have is bass. :eek2: .
2 10's ought to be about right for you, maybe even one.
Its hard to say what brand to get, its mainly just preference also. I like kicker myself, memphis is real good too. Your best bet is to go to the shop and listen and see which one you like best.

if you're going to with 2 subs.. make sure each sub has its own airspace.. you're subs will last longer and sound better..

or you can go with a single 12inch..

Don't suppose you'd be interested in this? I'd make you a helluva deal on it. Came out of a 2003 Supercrew. It's a JL 8W7 with a 250/1 and Ported enclosure. Fits awesome!

if you dont want to much bass.. i would go with a single 12.. my buddies have 2 12's and its just way to loud.. also if you dont have an EQ you should get one.. you dont need anything fancy..

Hey Bro, I have a single 500w Audiobahn 12" with a SPL(Got it for free) 520w Amp in my F250. It pounds pretty good when I need to, It sounds AWESOME blaring the Killswitch Engage and like music, and County sounds good.

It aint nothing pretty, but it sounds good...

Depends on if your amp can power the 2 12's, If it can, Then it will sound better than one 12. I have 2 12's, But I only keep one in my truck because I only have a 500w amp, and if two were hooked up they wouldnt pound as hard as just one.

i was just wonderin cuz a buddy of mine has 1 memphis 12 and an amp(not sure on watts) and another friend has 2 extreme 12's and some ****ty amp, and it seems like the 1 memphis 12 hits alot harder than the 2 extreme 12's

so how many watts would be good for one memphis 12 and pioneer speakers?

alot depends on how its put together and tuned.. size of box etc.. memphis audio is no JOKE.. they are nice.. I also ran a single 12inch that sounded alot better then some peoples 2 12".. its all in how its done and what kind you buy.. dont go cheap on the sub and amp.. you get what you pay for.. my sub was 200 rms and my amp was 250rms.. also go with a dual voice coil and a mono amp

oh dont forget a about a CAP.. this will help your battery from going dead and your lights from flickering when your system is turned up..

Technically if you split an amp's power between two subs, the two subs should be louder than one because it's moving more air, usually.
