14to1 in a er will it start???

Ive been wanting to up the compression to 14-1 but am worried about the starter. I know some of you have done this on your er's and was hopin for some input on the reliability of ther starter after the install, also what to do with the decompression. Anybody have any probs. should I or shouldnt I?

With the decompression system working right, the starter should not see any more compression.......My 2 cents.

No problems with mine starts great!!

sure, when installing a higher compression piston, the decompression release will have to be adjusted again with a compression gauge to keep the starter from burning up on startup
