i have done a search on this and had came up with mixed overall information so here i am again to ask you guys the same question.....which line do you install the in-line temp gauge?

Believe it or not, the location isn't terribly important.

At first, you might think that the water coming OUT of the radiator is cooler than the water going IN to the radiator. This would be true if the water moves very slowly. In reality, the water moves rather quickly, so that it loses heat as a complete system, not as individual components. The entire water path is pretty close to the same tempurature.

If you truly want to nail it down, the upper hose is the best location. It's the water coming out of the engine and going into the top of the radiator.
