06 kfx400 hard staurtin

i just got a 06 kfx400 ive had it for 2 1/2 mounths when i first got it would staurt up first push of staurter now it takes 5-6 somtimes less or more and will idle then die if i use a little throttle to try and keep it idleing it dies.i live up a large hill and its atleast 1000+feet absl and ride at proubally 1500-2000 ft absl.if i dont rejet soon will ridding the quad under this elavations is this going to hurt in thing.i wanna rejet but probally moving in the near future how hard to rejet cost and any idea what jetting.well thanks for helping anoyher one of my noob ? thanks again.

You may have to rejet. You can buy a full kit with K&N filter and jets included for around $100. Jets are somewhat hard if you dont know what to look for, look to pay around $100 to have a shop do it. I just rejetted mine with air filter and it took about an hour or so to do it and it was my first time.
