i am looking to wake the motor up on my quad. I have been looking at either a 416 or the 425, but i havent gotten alot of info on either. I am into mx racing, i dont want a 440 cause i have heard that a 416 or 425 will be quicker revving, and better in the long run. I was wondering what i would need to get for either one?? Is this something that i can do myself or sould i send it away?? and any opinions on what would be a better set up for me to race with. Thanks for all of your help!!!

If u know how to rebuild a 4 stroke engine, u shoul dhave NO PROBLEM!!! With the 425 kit that i have from TC, i didnt need rockers, springs, or anything. I just got the cam, punched it out, wiseco piston, TC exhaust, and thats about it. I lvoe it, it runs with the best of them. THe only guy that i have really gotten flat out beaten by is Brad Macri in the 4 stroke mod class, but he has a 500 stroker kit. well i guess i got beat by a 465TC stroker kit too. But thats a few hundred out of the pocket. Call Tc and he will tell u what u need. www.tcracingengines.com You WONT be dissapointed, i garuntee that!!

When putting in a new cam in a 400ex it is somewhat a plus if you change the rockers and springs even if it is a tc cam.

Well you could get the TC stuff from Rocky Ridge but might as well get it from TC.
