get the paint of the exhaust?

hey guys and gals...i have a yellow hmf right now and want to take the paint off to polish it....people tell me to trade it but i rather just do it my self....
so wat i need to kno it wat i need to get the paint off
sand paper?

The best way to do it would be to take it to someplace that has a bead blaster. Thats how I got the old paint of my pipe. Just call around and see who has a bead blaster, it won't take more than 10 minutes to blast the pipe, and they'll prolly charge ya like 10 bucks if that.

well i talked to my dad and wat do u kno his friend does this stuff for a living so im going to get it done for free....

That's cool. But yea, I think that is PC and not paint so you're gonna want to use some type of media blaster to strip it or it'll be a PITA

When they blast it make sure it's not sand because it will chew that canister a new one and you'll be hours sanding trying to get rid of the imperfections the grain's did to the metal :)

You might even try Air Craft Striper. It takes the paint off almost anything with in secs. You can get at a like NAPA or Auto Zone. But it is pretty costly. So I would ask before you do that.
